Small Business Owners Put on Alternative Bridal Show

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - If you're married, you know how easy it is to exceed your budget on a wedding. Karats Jewelry teamed up with small businesses to show bridal customers alternatives and how to tie the knot on the cheap.
Owned by Andy Anand, a young entrepreneur who opened the Overland Park location of his family business five years ago, Karats has teamed up with other small businesses in the wedding industry to spearhead a different type of bridal show.
The event will spotlight other local entrepreneurs who are focused on giving brides and grooms the personal attention they deserve, as well as some high end giveaways that will help them get a head start on planning for their big day.
The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Karats Jewelry at 135th and Metcalf.
