Andy and his staff at Karats were extremely helpful through the entire buying process. From the purchase of the engagement ring to the wedding bands, it was obvious that their number one goal was exceptional customer service. “I randomly came across Karats as I was looking for wedding bands. I had already purchased my fiancée’s ring but was having difficulty finding a wedding band for myself, as the selection of men’s bands at most jewelry stores is very small. I tried everywhere in town–literally–and was about to “settle” for a ring that I only partially liked. When I found Karats I was with my fiancée and they had actually just closed for the day. We tried the door but it was locked. As we were about to leave the door opened up and Andy poked his head out asking if he could help us. We explained that we were browsing for wedding bands and that we could come back at a later time if it was more convenient (but really hoping he would let us in). Andy said it would be no problem and unlocked the door for us. He (and Paige) took the time out to show us their collection and to listen as I explained what I was looking for. I actually ended up purchasing a ring that was in a catalog that they ordered in for me. Andy even ordered a few rings that I liked and said that I could choose which I liked best when they came in. Like many young men out there thinking about buying a ring that will change their lives, I was quite intimidated by the whole process. I knew there was a scale on color, cut and clarity, but that was about the extent of my knowledge. I went to several local jewelry shops that advertise a quality product and the promise of personalized attention. “I needed a new setting for my wife’s wedding ring for our 10-year anniversary. I ordered a setting from an online wholesaler. When I gave it to my wife, she was disappointed with the quality and had me return it. I went to Karats and asked them if they could provide something like I had found on-line, but with better quality. They had one in stock, and it was cheaper than the one I bought online. I stay in Chicago and was looking for the perfect ring to propose to her on the new year’s eve and surprise her. Unfortunately, since I wanted to keep it a true surprise, meant that I could not ask her for her preferences. After an exhaustive search in Chicago, and browsing online I came across Karats. I was very impressed by the number of designers, and the range of unique designs available at Karats. The website was very friendly and presented a bunch of designs without over complicating the display. I followed up with a call and the staff was extremely friendly. They helped me choose a perfect diamond and a setting, and within my budget. In fact I did my diligence, went and compared the price of a similar diamond in Chicago, as well as found the price of the same setting by the same designer at a jeweler in Chicago, and I was surprised that I was still getting the best deal at Karats. I am happy to have bought the ring from Karats, and they helped me buy a great ring and saved me a ton of money, and made the process very easy by shipping the ring with all the certificates to my home, and it was as promised. And, yes, she said Yes!!! I would recommend Karats to all my friends and to everyone.

This place is amazing!! The staff at Karats is hands down the best in the Kansas City area. I shopped everywhere! Karats was the last place I went. Karats worked with my budget and assisted me in finding the perfect enguagement ring and wedding bands hassle and stress free. Purchasing an engagement ring can be a stressful and budget straining process. Being that the ring was for a second marraige for both my fiance and me, we went shopping together for the perfect ring. We found Karat’s online and found the selection on the website to be excellent. I contact the store and spoke with Andy. Although Andy did not have every ring we were interest in on hand, he was able to get them in very quickly. We visited the store during a open house event and found that everyone was very friendly and helpful. Andy showed us alternative ring styles as well as those we requested specifically. He made the experience stress free. Once we chose our ring, Andy offered a very competitive price. He ordered the ring from the designer for us specifically made for our diamond. The designer took a bit of time to create the ring but it was well worth the wait. We received a gorgeous ring holding an equally gorgeous diamond. Andy kept me up to date during the entire process making me feel totally at ease. Karats sets the bar for any jewelerly purchase you might have. I give great thanks for Andy for his customer service and quality. Finally, I would like to point out Andy’s contributions to the community through his work with charitable foundations. One of them is the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. CF took the life of my first wife and I cannot thank Andy enough for his work supporting CF.

I have found that when one purchases a piece of jewelry for someone, the experience is as important as the item. Karats has provided that experience for me time and time again, with personalization and caring to myself and my cause. Hands down karats is the place to go for engagement rings or better yet smaller gift ideas for the wife. Their store is nice and has a warm feeling and their are a ton of options from both a ring stand point and a gift standpoint. I’ve bought the wife’s engagement ring, wedding band, 2 necklaces and many Pandora charms from Karats. Karats is awesome! My fiance and I first stopped in Karats last June when we were just browsing at engagement rings. We have been in many times since, and every time Andy and has staff have provided us with amazingly wonderful service. After our first visit, Andy and my fiance Tighe worked together (behind my back! They are good secret keepers!) to create the most amazing experience of my life! Tighe proposed on Thanksgiving with a beautiful Verragio engagement ring! He has said that Andy was so great with payment options, finding ways to save him money, and finalizing everything. Since our engagement, Andy has sent both of us e-mails, facebook messages, and cards to say thank you for our business, check up on wedding plans, or just to say hello. That is my favorite part about him! He is so genuine and kind, and he really cares about his customers. Being the only local provider of Verragio in the area, my fiancé and I decided to stop in to Karats one day to have a look. The rings were gorgeous of course. But the service and attentiveness of Andy and his staff is what made us come back and ultimately end up buying at Karats. They listened carefully to what we wanted and patiently waited on us as we deliberated different styles, prices, and cuts. In the end, I secretly bought the ring during one of their designer events as the rest of Andy’s staff occupied my fiancé in another portion of the store. Furthermore, when my ring was ready for pick up, Andy and I arranged a time well after business hours to meet at his store to accommodate my late work schedule. Talk about going above and beyond. To this day Andy remains in contact with my fiancé and me, always letting us know that he is there for us. We have truly found the ultimate jeweler.

My fiance had purchased a stone a few months ago and were interested in having it set to make my engagement ring. I knew that I needed to shop around to find the right setting that I was picturing. I went to almost every store in the Overland Park/Leawood area and was having a difficult time finding exactly what I wanted, or the right person to help us. I just happened to drive by Karats a few weeks after I gave up my search and decided to go in. I could not believe the selection of settings and the amazing help I received in picking out my setting. What I thought was going to be a long and tedious process ended up being simple and easy. Once I had the setting picked out, my stone was sent away to the designer and 3 weeks later I had the exact ring I wanted. I could not be happier with the service, price and quality of what we received. We will most definitely be using Andy and Karats again in the future

After some exhaustive searching, I found Karats and decided to go look. The atmosphere was so relaxing and inviting, something I had not felt at other places. I was warmly greeted by Andy and from there on, the process became effortless. As a first time ring buyer, I asked several questions that I’m sure he has answered a thousand times, but never once did he give an answer that would indicate this. There was never any pressure about even purchasing a ring, let alone something out of my budget. My intentions were to finance the ring, but Andy gave the option to pay at my own pace and when I had it paid off, the ring was mine. This worked out wonderfully and there was no need for a credit account that would get little to no use after the band purchase. It’s not often you find friendly, personal service like this. I would highly recommend Karats to everyone.

Originally I went to Karats to purchase a new chain for a necklace I had. They were so helpful and relaxed and had exactly what I needed. So when it was time to look for engagement rings, I headed right back there. They were good about keeping track of the styles/settings that I liked and kept those records so my finance could reference when he went back to pick a ring for me. He really appreciated the laid back atmosphere and helpful staff. Of course, I’m thrilled with my ring – I love it!

Very accommodating! I went into Karats and ordered not just one but two costum wedding bands that I thought would perfect with my engagement ring. When they came I realized there were not the look I was going for, though they were beautiful. Andy let me bring the two wedding bands in without hesitation to exchange them for something that I really loved! All Andy and his staff were worried about was making me happy with my purchase, and in the end I ended up with the perfect wedding band and with the credit left over my fiancee ended up with an awesome watch! When I finally decided to settle down and propose to the most beautiful girl I had ever met, I quickly realized it wasn’t that easy. Before asking her to marry me, I would need a ring to show her just how amazing she is. We had a few conversations about general shapes and styles and we had even looked at mall stores and a few other local jewelers. Each of them had a few “unique” items they tried to showcase, but they all seemed incredibly similar to one another.
